Pack your bags for #alaskaawaydays! This year the Portland Timbers and Alaska Airlines decided to create animations for their annual campaign to promote their away games. Each 15 second Instagram video features a character packing their bags for the away game, bringing only the essentials needed for the trip. We decided to go with 3D animation to add dimension to the objects and environments but used plenty of 2D illustrative techniques in the textures to keep the overall tone light and organic.
